Not for Profit - Training and Development
Mike Ponting completed the Kinabalu Challenge in January 2010-where teams face a six day adventure race through the Borneo jungle to finish on the summit of Mt. Kinabalu which sits at 4,100m above sea level. He plans to return to Borneo in November to support the MTL Team and to help raise funds and awareness for Raleigh. Raleigh International celebrate 25 years of global expeditions and youth development work, with many success stories and positive outcomes - including Mike's marriage!
The next Kinabalu Challenge is 20-26 November 2010 and there are two remaining places on the MTL Team, call us on 01285 821894 if you are interested in joining the team. You need to reasonably fit (not an iron man or marathon standard!) and you'll have the time of your life.
Key elements of the challenge include; 4km run, Jungle survival camp, Jungle Hiking, Mountain biking and running events, White water rafting, Kayak relay, and of course the summit of Mt. Kinabalu at dawn on the last day.
A big thank you to those who sponsored Mike, and the work of Raleigh in Borneo. See where your money went below....
