Real teamwork, creatvity equals performance

Well, 2009 is almost over and MTL have had a good year culminating in a team building event with a charitable twist. Supported by learning and development and musical professionals from Musikscool we recently wrote and recorded 4 tracks from scratch at the MTL office in just 24 hours. The event was a huge success and helped to raise money and awareness for the Youth Development Charity Raleigh International.

Raising funds for Raleigh International
Mike Ponting - local business man has set out to raise money to enable him to scale new heights. As part of Raleigh International , the youth development charity, he will be leading an expedition to climb Mount Kinabalu in Borneo in January. Raleigh enables young people to ‘get out there' and make a difference to developing countries. At the same time, they get the chance to find out more about themselves and what they are capable of. Mike is undertaking a number of different fundraising activities so that he can make this epic journey. In addition to sponsored runs and swims, Mike has a history of unusual ways to raise funds for Raleigh. He has walked the Ridgeway - 85 miles in total over 2 days dressed as a Roman Centurion - complete with sandals and spear.

And this time is no different. Along with 7 colleagues from Musikscool, Mike has written, recorded and produced a CD of original songs. The songs all reflect Mike's spirit of adventure and the work Raleigh does across the world. Mike says- "Music has played an important part in my life. It has allowed me to meet and work with people from all walks of life. We are using music to share the important work that Raleigh does across the world and promote the message of "Get Out There". We are using "Get Out There" as the rallying theme for the CD and to raise funds to do the work that they do."
